Overview:
It is possible to assign or replicate users' location details during LDAP replication. This ensures that each user's profile within the system includes accurate location information directly pulled from the LDAP directory.
Steps:
1. Log in to Sherpadesk with valid credentials.
2. Click on “Settings” in the horizontal menu.
3. Click on "LDAP" on the configurations page.
4. Enable the toggle button and enter the LDAP attribute where location information is stored in your Active Directory (AD).
5. Click on "Accounts & Locations" on the configurations page.
6. Click on "Location Mappings" button.
7. Enter the fields and click on " Add New Location Mapping" button.
8. Add location mapping if the location values in your Active Directory (AD) differ from those used in SherpaDesk. This ensures accurate synchronization between the two systems.
9. Run LDAP replication on the configurations page.
10. Check user locations on the login page. If a location is missing, verify that the location mapping is set up correctly.
