Overview:
This setup helps automate ticket creation in SherpaDesk through email forwarding and filtering from a Gmail account.
Steps:
Add Forwarding Address
1. Log in to your Gmail account.
2. Click on the "Add a forwarding address" button on the Settings page.
3. Copy the "Create ticket email" from the Email dropbox on the Configuration > Email page.
4. Enter the copied email in the Forwarding address field.
5. A confirmation link will be sent to the email address specified.
Create Ticket
1. Log in to your Outlook account and send an email to the Gmail user account.
2. Open the email in the Gmail account and click on the "Filter Messages Like this " option.
3. Create the filter by adding the keyword and selecting the 'Forwarding Mail' option.
4. Select the checkbox and click on the "Create Filter" button.
5. After the filters are applied, send another email from the Outlook account.
The email sent is converted into a ticket response on the Tickets page.
