Restrict unauthorized user's creating tickets

SherpaDesk by default allows open access for users to create tickets into your instance.

If you are looking to only restrict only users with approved domains (i.e. @yourdomain.com) to have access to create tickets then you will need to update a few settings.

1. Restrict Via Email Parsing

  • You will need to go to Configuration > Emails > remove the option to ‘Allow New User Creation via Email Parser'
  • You will also need to enable ‘Limit new users to only matching email suffixes'
  • You will need to enter the approved Email Suffixes (i.e. @yourdomain.com) in the suffix section.Copy94aab8ea0876.png


2. Restrict Via Portal

You will need to go to Configuration > Support Portal > Enable 'Limit new users to known email suffixes'

3. Restrict New User Creation via Login

You will need to disable the New User Wizard by going to Configuration > Logins > Settings
